Veterinary Surgeon - interest in mentoring - Salary up to £70,000
Locally owned since 2020, we first opened in 2014 and have retained the same team since opening our doors so if you are looking to join a small, friendly practice with a great reputation in the local area, we have the role for you here at Yeovil Vets for Pets.
The practice is going from strength to strength and is an extremely successful business as well as providing a first-class service to our loyal client base, having been RCVS accredited ‘Outstanding' for Client Care and Inpatient Services.
The practice itself is based in a stand-alone building on a busy retail park with ample parking and popular amenities nearby. We\'re also only a 5-minute walk to the train station, close to the town centre a short journey away and just 1 hour away from thriving tourist destinations such as Exeter, Bath and the coast!
You\'ll be joining practice owner Claire, a multi certificate holder, as well as working alongside an experienced vet 20 years qualified and with a passion for surgery, our new graduate vet and our wonderful team of nurses, VCA and Client Care Advisors.
Claire is a big supporter of having a great life/work balance, understanding the importance of wellbeing, and knowing that is what\'s needed for the team to provide the care they do. That means that although full time ideally, we can also consider more flexible hours for this position.
Our days are well organised and include lots of team catch ups factored into the day as well as 20-minute consults as standard, and the practice also closes at 6pm several days a week.
There are no OOH and the weekend rota includes just 1 in 3 Saturday mornings.
Due to the nature of this role, we are looking for an experienced vet with a broad range of GP skills. Confident in all aspects of everyday small animal medicine and surgery, we\'re also looking for a vet skilled in building strong relationships with patients and clients and who enjoys working in a team.
If you have a passion for mentoring and are interested in becoming a Vet GDP Advisor, that would also be a benefit as we expand the team and take on new graduate vets.
