Veterinary Surgeon – GP All Rounder

Based at our busy Chichester Hospital.

About the role

As a veterinary surgeon with an interest in internal medicine, you will be based at our state-of-the-art hospital in Chichester, supporting other branches and working collaboratively with our night team, South Downs Emergency Vets, to deliver exceptional, personalised care to our patients 24/7. You will also work with our referral team, South Downs Veterinary Referrals, supporting referral-level cases for Advanced Practitioners. Our clinics are designed to provide a warm, comforting, home-from-home feeling, ensuring both pets and owners feel at ease.

About you

You’ll be an experienced Veterinary Surgeon (MRCVS) with significant practical experience in veterinary medicine and diagnostics. Rota and working hours

This position is based at our Chichester Hospital, covering local branches as needed. It involves a 4-day week with 10-hour shifts (between 7.30am-7.30pm), including a 1-hour lunch break. The rota is equal (1 in 6) for weekends and bank holidays, with 2 days off in lieu of weekends worked. We are open to part-time applicants and flexible working requests.

Salary

£45,000 to £65,000+ per annum, depending on experience, certificates, and status (e.g., Advanced Practitioner).
