A local veterinary practice in Poole is seeking a Veterinary Surgeon to join their inclusive team. The role offers between 20-40 flexible hours per week, including Saturday work on a 1 in 5 rota. Our small animal practice in Poole Holes Bay, is growing fast and with significant plans to expand our premises, we are looking for an additional veterinary surgeon to join our friendly team.
Our practice owner, Dan Makin, is an Advanced Practitioner in small animal medicine, and opened Poole Holes Bay Vets for Pets in 2017.
As well as Dan, you will be joining an exceptional team of 24 including, a strong team of Nurses, student nurses and ANAs, all supported by an equally brilliant and welcoming team of 8 client care advisors. This also includes a supportive management team of lead nurses, head receptionist and Practice Operations manager and Mental Health First Aider. Our growing team already includes vets who still require some level of support so for this position, we do require a vet able to support them where necessary.
Our days are well structured with an emphasis on your wellbeing and a good practice culture, as well as providing exceptional care to our clients. We do 20-minute consults as standard, blocks of surgery, and make sure that admin time and a 1 hour paid lunch break are also factored into your day. It’s important to us to be an inclusive team so we also hold a daily huddle with time to share thoughts and ideas and to reflect on the previous day.
The position available is flexible with between 20-40 hours per week. The role will include weekend work (Saturday only) on a 1 in 5 rota.
