Veterinary Surgeon - Emergency Out of Hours (6 month FTC)

Blaise Veterinary Referral Hospital is a large-scale, multi-disciplinary, specialist-led referral hospital which encompasses the culture and values we pride ourselves on at IVC Evidensia. Blaise has added to our extensive referral network, which now consists of over 100 referral sites across the UK & Ireland. In addition to our referral teams on site, the 24-hour hospital is home to our Vets Now at Blaise emergency service.

In partnership with Vets Now, the UK's leading provider of emergency pet care, our out-of-hours team are here to provide an emergency service to local first opinion practices at nights, weekends and bank holidays, and to also ensure continuity of care for inpatients that have been seen by our referral team.

This position is a 3-6 month fixed term contract (open to discussion).

Be part of an exceptional team

You will be working alongside an experienced team of Vets, Nurses and Animal Care Assistants in our state of the art hospital. As well as being responsible for new emergencies coming into the hospital, you will work closely with our specialist ECC team on stabilising and monitoring complex cases in the ICU, meaning you will see a stimulating and varied caseload with clinical independence and make an immediate difference to the pets you treat on every shift.

Previous experience working in OOH is essential and experience with referrals specifically would be advantageous. We are looking for people who thrive in a fast-paced, challenging yet supportive environment, where first-class patient care is at the core of everything we do.
