Job summary

Portland Vets East Grinstead is seeking an enthusiastic, experienced veterinary professional to join our independent practice. Our team provides cat-friendly care at ISFM standards and supports a busy service with dedicated nurses.

Shifts are 15-minute consults (30 minutes for complex cases, up to 1 hour for euthanasia). We offer a generous CPD budget, RCVS/VDS fees paid, 5 weeks holiday, and private medical insurance via salary sacrifice.

Qualifications

Portland Vets are looking for a new colleague,our East Grinstead practice is gold standard ISFM cat friendly and PSS SA GP we need an enthusiastic experienced individual to join the team. Portland vets is an independent group of practices that put their staff first. A dedicated management team are always striving for new ways to provide the best working environment. Our shifts are either 8 or 10 hours, consults are 15 minutes long, but 30 minute consults can be booked for more complex cases and usually 1 hour for euthanasia’s. We book consults in a mindful way making sure to provide time for admin, which is monitored and protected. We utilise Petsapp to allow easier communication with our clients. We provide overnight inpatient care, with dedicated nurse 5 nights per week. Role Specifics £50,000 – £65,000 FTE (DOE) 8 or 10hr shifts (Vet choice) with built in admin time 1 in 6 Saturdays (ave) Supported by large team of experienced Veterinary Nurses Overtime and Saturday work are compensated with compensatory time. RCVS/VDS fees paid by the practice, plus 1 extra Subscription to professional organisation, such as the BSAVA.
