An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Veterinary Surgeon with a special interest in Diagnostic Imaging to join a forward-thinking 24-hour veterinary hospital located in Swanland, a peaceful village near Hull in the East Riding of Yorkshire. This modern, well-equipped practice provides an exceptional working environment, supported by an experienced and friendly clinical team.
This is the ideal position for a vet looking to enhance or continue their focus in diagnostic imaging, with access to state-of-the-art facilities including a CT suite, digital x-ray, ultrasound with Doppler, diagnostic ECG, and a full range of endoscopy and arthroscopy equipment.
The hospital is staffed by a committed team including a Lead Vet, Head Nurse, Practice Manager, and an outstanding group of Veterinary Surgeons, RVNs, SVNs, and support staff. A dedicated night team ensures 24-hour patient care and out-of-hours coverage, creating a seamless transition between day and night service.

Three modern operating theatres
Separate wards for dogs, cats, exotics, and isolation
On-site hydrotherapy suite, underwater treadmill, and laser therapy
Fully equipped in-house laboratory

Provide expert diagnostic imaging and interpretation for a variety of cases
Deliver outstanding clinical care to patients during both consultations and procedures
Communicate clearly and compassionately with clients regarding diagnoses and treatment plans
Collaborate effectively with other clinicians and support staff to ensure excellent case continuity
Assist in mentoring colleagues and promoting clinical excellence
Maintain compliance with all regulatory and professional standards
Contribute to the ongoing development and growth of the clinical team
MRCVS-qualified Veterinary Surgeon
Demonstrated experience in diagnostic imaging (certification desirable but not essential)
Strong teamwork and communication skills
Able to provide clinical leadership and foster a positive, progressive practice culture
Comfortable working in a busy, multi-disciplinary hospital setting
Flexible and adaptable, with a proactive approach to problem-solving

Full-time preferred, but part-time applications are welcomed

No overnight responsibilities fully staffed OOH team
