Our client, a well-established small animal hospital in County Louth, is seeking an experienced Veterinary Surgeon to join their friendly and progressive team. Dedicated entirely to small animal care, the hospital is passionate about delivering exceptional service to clients and patients alike. Founded in 2006, the hospital underwent a major extension in 2018, allowing for modern facilities that cater to a wide range of medical and surgical needs.

The hospital offers segregated waiting areas, consult rooms, designated wards, and two theatre spaces, all within a high-spec environment. Located in a vibrant town with a variety of local amenities such as shops, restaurants, and pubs, the area is well-connected with excellent transport links to Dublin and nearby towns. The town also boasts a strong sense of community, with various events and festivals taking place throughout the year.

The hospital is equipped with cutting-edge facilities, including digital x-ray, dental x-ray, ultrasound, and in-house blood analysers. Separate areas for dogs and cats ensure a stress-free experience for both pets and owners, and there is a private family room for more sensitive cases. Additionally, the hospital is an ISFM Gold Certified Cat Friendly Clinic, and they offer referral services in both orthopaedic and soft tissue surgery, as well as ultrasonography.

The team consists of six Veterinarians, nine Veterinary Nurses, three reception staff, an accounts administrator, a practice manager, and two animal care assistants. The veterinary team includes certificate holders in Small Animal Medicine and Surgery, offering a fantastic opportunity to work alongside professionals with expertise in advanced surgery, including orthopaedics, ultrasonography, and echocardiography. Many of the nursing staff also hold certificates in Feline Medicine, Anaesthesia, and Emergency & Critical Care.
