Arun Veterinary Group is seeking a Veterinary Surgeon for their newly opened Cat’s Whiskers clinic in Worthing. This role is perfect for veterinarians passionate about feline medicine, offering generous benefits and a supportive work environment. Join a team that values collaboration and personal growth.
CAT ONLY CLINIC – Veterinary Surgeon REQUIRED
Based at our newly acquired Cat-only Clinic in Worthing, Cat’s Whiskers
You became a vet so you could change the lives of pets and their owners. We share that calling. But we also understand that to be at your best for your patients, you need support, work-life balance and opportunities for growth. We believe that every veterinary professional should feel part of a community that builds them up, connects them with their passion and helps them thrive. That’s why we built Arun Veterinary Group. Together, we’re ‘more than a vets’. We’re proudly independent, and the freedom that this brings sets us apart. Clinical freedom; freedom to deliver care with a personal touch; freedom to do what’s right.
We’re constructive, encouraging, and kind to one another – always. Inclusivity and collaboration ensure everyone feels respected and valued. The equality, kindness and closeness that unites our team shapes our work; we treat our clients with respect, kindness, empathy, and professionalism.
As a veterinary surgeon with an interest in feline medicine, you will be based at our Cat’s Whiskers Cat only Clinic in Worthing, West Sussex. The interior design in our clinics provides a warm, comforting, home-from-home feeling. It’s hard to put into words, but you’ll feel the difference as soon as you walk through the door.
You’ll be an experienced Veterinary Surgeon (MRCVS) with proven all-rounder practical experience in Cat specific veterinary medicine and surgeries. It would be advantageous if you have Advanced Practitioner status or are a certificate holder or working towards one, though not essential. We are committed to developing vets with an enthusiastic and passionate approach to enhancing their skills.
Most importantly, you’ll share and demonstrate our values. These are humility, respect, empathy, work ethic, honesty, communication, and teamwork.
Your benefits will include generously funded CPD (Certificate funding available); standard pension benefit; 40% staff discount for own pets; generous holiday (7 weeks, including bank holidays) and occupational health resources, including mental health support. Once with us for some time, you will also benefit from enhanced parental leave (6 months paid at 90%) and enhanced sickness benefit (2 weeks at 100%).
3-day week, weekday only shifts from 8:00am-6:00pm.
Depending on skills set, the new job holder is unlikely to be required to join the weekends/bank holiday rota to begin with, but this may change in the future, for which you would be given notice.
£45,000 to £55,000+ per annum (FTE) depending on level of experience/certificates/AP status
