My client is offering a brilliant opportunity for a Veterinary Surgeon to be part of something new – an independent small animal practice launching in this year.

They’re looking for a friendly, self-motivated vet to help us build and grow the practice from the ground up. If you’re keen to have real input, enjoy clinical freedom, and want to be part of a close-knit team where your ideas matter – I’d love to hear from you!

Located in a vibrant seaside town with beautiful beaches, lovely coastal walks, and a strong sense of community. It offers a great lifestyle with affordable living and good transport links to Middlesbrough, Newcastle, and York, making it easy to explore or commute when needed.

As an independent practice, they’re free from corporate constraints – allowing for clinical freedom, flexibility, and fast decision-making.

Relocating? A self-contained flat is available on-site. They’re happy to cover the cost for the first 3 months for the right person, with the option to continue renting the flat or find your own accommodation.

What they offer:

Salary up to £70,000 (DOE)

4-day week (40 hours) with paid breaks

Saturday mornings only (on a rota, with time off in lieu)

No OOH or on-call

5 weeks holiday, plus bank holidays off

RCVS & VDS fees covered

Full support in setting up and developing the practice

Opportunity to mentor or lead a team (optional)

Laparoscopic surgery available at their sister site

Support for certificates and further training
