Job summary

GVC in Doncaster is seeking a Veterinary Surgeon to join a friendly small animal team across two sites, a main hospital and a renovated branch. You’ll work with six vets, with day-to-day support and a clear path for professional development. There’s a broad mix of interests and ongoing learning opportunities.

The role offers a genuine 4-day week, no OOH or bank holidays, and a strong focus on work-life balance, with opportunities in medicine, surgery, and managing cases across both sites.

Responsibilities

• Consulting and case workups with in-house diagnostics
• Surgical lists including laparoscopic and orthopaedic procedures
• Dedicated hospital shifts supporting inpatients and emergencies
• Clear client communication and safe decision-making
• Collaboration across two sites to maintain patient flow and outcomes
