Job summary

White Cross Vets Kings Heath in Birmingham invites a dedicated Veterinary Surgeon to join our large, friendly team. You’ll deliver high-quality patient care, engage with clients, and contribute to a busy caseload in a well-equipped practice.

We offer a competitive salary up to £65,000 DOE with relocation assistance up to £5,000, a 4-day week (40 hours) with no out-of-hours duties, and a supportive development culture that values teamwork and continual learning.

Qualifications

• A Veterinary degree and RCVS registration or eligibility to register.
• Experience in clinical practice with growing confidence in medical and surgical cases.
• Strong communication skills and ability to build relationships with clients and colleagues.
• Proactive approach to learning, with openness to feedback and development.
• Professionalism, reliability, and ability to work both independently and collaboratively.

Responsibilities

• Work a mix of operating (≈30%) and consulting (≈70%) with shifts.
• Consultations typically 15 minutes; longer for emergencies when required.
• Rota planned 6–8 weeks in advance.
• Collaborate with the clinical team to deliver high-quality patient and client care.
