Job summary

CVS Veterinary Group is seeking a Veterinary Surgeon for MiNightVet Woking to cover weekend OOH cases in a first-opinion small animal practice.

The role offers a competitive rate up to £45 per hour (DOE), with Sundays and three night shifts per month, plus access to modern equipment and ongoing professional development.

You will join a supportive team with opportunities to mentor colleagues and develop within a growing network.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 2–3 years' experience in small animal practice.
  • Lead on surgical and medical cases with clinical independence.
  • Out-of-hours weekend work on Sundays.
  • Strong communication and client-service skills.

Responsibilities

  • Provide primary care OOH consultations.
  • Receive practice case transfers, inpatient care and surgery.
  • Support and mentor team colleagues.

Onsite
Location: Woking, Surrey.
Contract: Part Time considered - Weekend (Sunday) Each week (Hours 8am- 7om) 1 x hour lunch break + 3 x Night shift per month working (Hours) 7pm - 8am.
Practice Type: First opinion

Competitive Salary | up to £45 per hour. (DOE).
What We Offer

Our practice is going through a renovation and refurbishment which will include access to specialist equipment and facilities including CT scanner, endoscope and ultrasound.

This position would suit an experienced small animal vet, preferably with a minimum of 2+ years' experience. The role involves primary care OOH consultations, receiving member practice case transfers, inpatient care, medical work ups and surgery. A strong medical knowledge is required and experience in routine and emergency surgery. You will possess good communication skills and have a passion to deliver excellent care and client service.
