Job description

OOH Small Animal Veterinary Surgeon - MiNightVet Caterham, The Village Hospital.

Are you looking for a new clinical challenge whilst maintaining a fantastic work life balance? We have just the role for you within our MiNightVet Caterham team!

MiNightVet Caterham is a dedicated OOH service based within The Village Animal Hospital. We provide first class emergency care, working through the night and at weekends to ensure that all patients that come through the doors are treated with the same urgency and care as we would treat our own pets. We also provide hospitalisation and in-patient care for the surrounding practices.

Work life balance is important to all of us here at MiNightVet, and we work on a rota to ensure we can all make the most of our time off!

As an OOH Vet for us, you will be working 7 nights on, followed by 14 nights off (19:00 to 08:00)

If you enjoy the challenge of emergency and critical care, but want to do it in a supportive, well-equipped setting, this could be the perfect next step.

The role is based in Caterham but is commutable from Croydon, Sutton, Epsom, Bromley, Orpington, Redhill, Oxted, Westerham, Godstone, Purley, Warlingham, Coulsdon, Biggin Hill, Tadworth, Leatherhead, Dorking, Crawley, East Crinstead, Royal Tunbridge Wells, Tonbridge, Sevenoaks, Mitcham and other surrounding locations in the South London, Surrey and Kent area.

This is an ideal role for someone who enjoys clinical independence and wants to feel trusted, supported, and part of a hospital-led team where patient care really does come first.

What we offer in return
  • Funded RCVS and VDS fees
  • CPD encouraged and supported - development matters to us
  • Company pension, enhanced parental leave, EAP and mental health first aiders
  • Cycle to work scheme, discounted pet treatment, and SAYE scheme
  • Clear internal pathways across the wider CVS network of 500+ practices

CVS is committed to being a fully inclusive place to work where all our colleagues are encouraged and supported to be themselves, where difference is celebrated and where everyone feels able to deliver their best. We are also determined to build a workforce that is more representative of our diverse communities and the people we provide our services to.
