Location: Avonvale Veterinary Centre - Warwickshire

We are offering a unique opportunity for a Veterinary Surgeon to join our team at Avonvale Vets, working across our Warwickshire sites. We have one position primarily based in Stratford-upon-Avon, and another offering a roving role across our clinics.

Are you looking for a new challenge and eager to develop your career within a supportive, highly experienced team? Avonvale Vets could be the perfect place for you…

Why join us?
  • We have an opportunity to join our thriving and popular Stratford upon Avon surgery and also an option for a flexible role across 2-3 of our practices.
  • Work-life balance – While we’re ideally looking for a full-time Veterinary Surgeon, we’re happy to explore part-time options.
  • Varied clinical caseload – Our vets bring a wealth of expertise in orthopaedics, acupuncture, laparoscopy, cardiology, imaging, feline medicine, ophthalmology, dermatology, soft tissue surgery, and chronic pain management.
  • Nurse-led services – Our nurses are highly skilled, with qualifications in emergency and critical care, anaesthesia, wound management, behaviour, and hydrotherapy.
  • Professional development – We actively support further study, including certificates, if this is something you’d like to pursue.
  • Outstanding facilities – We have 7 RCVS-accredited surgeries plus a central hospital in Warwick, equipped with CT, digital x-ray, ultrasound, laparoscopy, and hydrotherapy units.
  • Based in beautiful Warwickshire, you’ll have the best of both worlds – countryside walks, historic castles, and top-rated schools, with Birmingham only 30 minutes away and direct trains to London.
The team

We have an experienced team of 30 vets including those holding certificates in medicine, soft tissue and orthopaedic surgery, dermatology, feline medicine, ophthalmology, and diagnostic imaging who are always happy to offer support.

We are proud to be able to offer our clients 24-hour care and have our own team of night vets operating from our hospital. We are also lucky to have our own CT, digital x-ray, ultrasound, laparoscopy, and hydrotherapy unit in addition to all the usual kit.

We are a very close-knit team who look after each other. We prioritise the wellbeing of our teams and also enjoy multiple team events each year, a highlight being Annie the Ice Cream vans visits.
