Job description

Due to an internal promotion Haygate Vets Wellington are seeking a qualified Small Animal Veterinary Surgeon – Telford, Shropshire.

Salary: Up to £65,000, dependant on experience/qualifications.

Are you looking for a highly motivated team, dedicated to delivering the best possible clinical care to patients? If so we may be the practice for you.

Key practice facts:

  • 11 vet practice, including 1 Surgery, 1 Medicine , 1 Cardiology, 1 Diagnostic certificate holders
  • 4 branch practice across the Telford area
  • Great equipment (Digital X-ray, High spec ultrasound machine, VideoEndoscopy, bloods gas & endocrinology lab machines, multiparameter monitoring machine, dedicated orthopaedic theatre, bair huggers and dental X-ray)
  • Full-time position would involve a 40-hour week over 4 days, with 2 hours a week attributed to Saturdays, which is either a 1:4 Saturday, or a 1:5 slightly longer Saturday. Part-time hours also openly considered
  • Night team working out of the main branch, offering seamless handover, and accurate finish times
  • Dedicated inpatient vet each day
  • Experienced and Supportive RVN's and Nursing team. Performing over 85% of nurse consult type appointments. With nurses also trained inSchedule III procedures andultrasonography
  • 2 Trained GDP advisers
  • No call centres, real receptionists in the building dedicated to front of house.
  • Weekly vet meetings to discuss cases and new products
  • Work closely with multiple charities
  • Located near the Shropshire AONB
