Qualifications

  • Qualified Veterinary Surgeon with RCVS registration required.

Veterinary Surgeon

Our thriving practice in the historic town of Ruislip, Greater London is seeking a confident and enthusiastic Veterinary Surgeon to join our supportive team.

About us
You will be joining a friendly team made up of 4 Vets and 4 Nurses alongside 1 VCA and 3 receptionists. We hold a variety of individual interests including soft tissue surgery and internal medicine.

We are a close knit and friendly team, we love to celebrate what you do inside and outside of the work environment, because a work life balance is key. We engage in staff evenings out, Christmas dinners and birthday celebrations!

We are based inside the wonderful Pets at Home store in Ruislip and offer free parking for both staff and clients.

Our bright, spacious, air-conditioned surgery is purpose built to industry leading standards and has state of the art equipment including a digital X-ray machine, Ultrasound, Multiparameter monitor, electrosurgical unit and Idexx lab machines.

Ruislip is a great place to live and work, offering a blend of suburban charm and convenient city access. With excellent transport links via the Central and Metropolitan lines, you can be in central London in under an hour while enjoying a quieter, greener lifestyle. It’s a location that combines work-life balance with a welcoming, family-friendly atmosphere.

What we are looking for
  • A qualified Veterinary Surgeon with RCVS registration
  • Ideally you will have at least 2 years’ experience working in small animal practice and are confident to do both consult and surgery
  • You will be confident in all small companion animal routine surgeries and have basic experience with exotics
  • We would ideally appoint a full-time applicant working 40hrs per week over 4 days
  • Our weekend rota is 1:3 working Saturdays (9am-6pm) and Sundays (10am-4pm)
  • We are also flexible to consider part time applicants
  • No OOHs and no bank holidays
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • A passion for animal welfare and high-quality patient care
  • Team player attitude with the ability to work independently
