Job Description

Vets for Pets Sprowston, Norwich is looking for a Vet to help with our increasing caseload and to replace one of our lovely Vets who is moving back to Hong Kong. Rob and Riaan have owned and run Vets for Pets Sprowston for over 20 years. It is a large, small animal first opinion practice based in Norwich.

About Us

We have a supportive, experienced team with certificate holders in surgery and ophthalmology, and we see orthopaedic and ophthalmology referrals. Our facilities include ultrasound, digital x-ray, endoscopy, slit lamp, gonioscope, tonometry, orthopaedic kit, multi-parameter units for theatre, and a full in-house lab.

We are a busy practice with a large, varied caseload, allowing us to work up cases in-house with clinical freedom. We do not have set targets or protocols. We promote continuous improvement through regular clinical meetings, journal clubs, and CPD. We focus on work-life balance and mental health, with initiatives like appointing a mental health first aider and following the BVA good workplace guide.

Our work schedule offers a four-day week with one in five weekends, no out-of-hours work, and flexible rota options. The role can be full or part-time, and can be consult-only with no sole charge. We welcome new graduates and experienced vets alike.
