Job Description

Introduction

Our client is a corporately owned, branch partner-led small animal practice located in Thorpe St. Andrew, Norfolk. They are currently seeking a part-time Veterinary Surgeon to join their welcoming and experienced team. The practice is run by a long-standing Medivet vet who also serves as a Vet GDP advisor, and you’ll be joining a well-established group consisting of two veterinary surgeons, a head nurse, two registered veterinary nurses, two student nurses, and two patient care assistants. This modern and recently refurbished site handles a general medical and basic surgical caseload, supported by a loyal client base and a friendly, cohesive team environment.

Working Hours / Rota

Permanent, part-time role (21 hours per week)

Thursdays: 09:00–19:00

Fridays: 08:00–18:00

1 in 3 Saturday rota

Flexibility considered for the right candidate

Role Description

This is a fantastic opportunity for a vet seeking a stable and development-focused role within a supportive branch. You’ll be working in a well-equipped, purpose-refurbished clinic with strong clinical leadership and a clear emphasis on collaboration and quality care. With mentoring from an experienced branch partner and the support of a full clinical and nursing team, this role offers an excellent work-life balance and the ability to focus on delivering exceptional patient and client care. You’ll also benefit from close collaboration with Medivet’s wider regional network and referral centres for more advanced or complex cases.

Ideal Candidate

The ideal candidate will be an RCVS-registered Veterinary Surgeon with a solid grounding in general practice and a passion for providing excellent care. You should be confident managing routine medical and surgical cases and enjoy being part of a supportive and collaborative team. Experience mentoring or interest in development is welcome.
