Who are we?

Based in Newcastle under Lyme, close to the town centre, we have a caseload that allows our teams to develop. The team at Friarswood has varied skill levels, providing everyone the chance to shine. We utilize visiting specialists to maintain in-house expertise and foster talent development, ensuring continuity of care and client bonding.

CountyVets is part of CVS, a leading Veterinary Group with over 500 practices across the UK and Australia. We aim to provide excellent clinical care and a supportive work environment, allowing Veterinary Surgeons the freedom to make clinical decisions and share best practices. Our facilities include laparoscopic kits, digital x-ray, dental x-ray, and more, supported by an experienced nursing team. Our team includes certificate holders in medicine and dentistry, providing additional support.

We prioritize development and are happy to support your interests, especially if you are working towards or interested in surgical certificates. We are supported by an OOH provider, with no Sunday or Bank Holiday work required.

Our rota and working options:

This is a full-time position, but part-time or FTC arrangements can be discussed. Our vets typically work four days a week, with some Saturday mornings on a rota basis. There is also an option to work between our Sandbach and Alsager practices for variety and experience at different sites.

You will receive a comprehensive benefits package, including paid professional fees, CPD allowance, the option to purchase additional annual leave, annual salary reviews, Health Shield cash plan, private medical insurance, Share scheme, discounted pet treatments, and more.
