MedMatch Vets seeks an experienced Night Veterinary Surgeon for a 24/7 small animal hospital near Newcastle-under-Lyme, Staffordshire. The role offers real clinical independence with on-site specialists, teaching opportunities, and a modern facility with advanced imaging and dedicated inpatient care.

You will cover night duties, with a busy, varied caseload and opportunities to mentor or teach the next generation of vets, in a collaborative team setting.

Qualifications

• Experienced small animal vet with hospital or busy practice background.
• Confident in surgical procedures and making independent clinical decisions from day one.
• Emergency care experience is desirable; a certificate is advantageous but not required.
• Not suitable for new graduates.

Responsibilities

• Consults, OOH diagnostic work-ups and surgery on a busy night caseload.
• Hospital provides OOH cover for other local practices, resulting in high caseload and variety.

MedMatch Vets is recruiting an experienced Night Veterinary Surgeon for a purpose-built, 24/7 small animal hospital near Newcastle-under-Lyme. It's a teaching-focused hospital with an in-house referral team, modern theatres and advanced imaging. You'll have real clinical independence, with specialists on hand when you need them.
