Job description
Overview

Beech House Veterinary Surgery are looking for an experienced Veterinary Surgeon (2yr plus) to join our team. We are a friendly, professional and supportive team located in Radcliffe. This is a full-time role offering a great work-life balance and the chance to join a growing team. Salary for this role is dependent on experience, plus benefits.

About us

Beech House Veterinary Surgery is a modern, small animal veterinary practice on the outskirts of Radcliffe and Little Lever. We are a well-equipped clinic with digital X-ray, endoscope, bronchoscope, electrocautery, Ligasure, dental X-ray, nerve block kit, plus a very well-equipped theatre and high-end ultrasound facilities. In addition, you will have access to support from our internal referral programme with support in soft tissue, orthopaedic, ophthalmology, cardiology, diagnostic imaging and medicine. We offer 15-minute consults as standard, which can be extended to 30 minutes for more complex cases. We also offer allocated admin time each day.

You will be joining a longstanding team of other vets; a Senior Vet with certificates in Small Animal Medicine and Small Animal Surgery working alongside 2 other vets, with a keen interest in surgery, imaging and medicine, plus an experienced support team including Practice Director (RVN), Head Nurse, 4 RVN, 1 SVN, PCA and 4 receptionists. We also have supportive Senior Clinical Directors, who attend the practice to provide their help and expertise in complex cases.

The role

Our ideal candidate will be a confident Veterinary Surgeon, able to perform routine surgeries with minimal support. If you are looking to advance and develop your specific clinical interests, including to certificate level, join our team, and we will help you fulfil your clinical ambitions among a friendly and supportive group of animal lovers. You will have access to a range of benefits and will be supported in the development of your clinical and non-clinical skills, including self-leadership, teamwork, wellbeing, resilience and business, whilst also providing the opportunity for you to share experiences with fellow graduates. This role offers the opportunity for further development, but you will need to be confident in routine neutering and be happy to provide support to the practice\'s current new graduate Vet.

Salary and benefits

Salary is dependent on the successful Veterinary Surgeon\'s experience, plus access to our wide range of benefits, including:

  • Vet Oracle, our support platform for veterinary colleagues that provides expert advice and support across a range of clinical areas
  • Holidays, pensions, discounts, paternal leave
  • Discounted gym memberships
  • Many other benefits that you can view on our what-we-offer page
