Medivet Horncastle practice is a well-established, branch partner-led clinic located centrally with great access to transport links.

The team is passionate about patient care and high clinical standards, and they’re committed to continuous improvement. The practice sees a busy, varied caseload and also functions as a training centre for student nurses. It’s well-equipped with modern technology and has a loyal, long-standing client base.

Dave, the branch partner, is a qualified Vet GDP advisor and supports vets on our graduate development programme.

This is a permanent, full-time role, working 40 hours across four days, with 1 in 3 half weekends or 1 in 6 full weekends. We're open to part-time and flexible working so just let us know what suits you.

Role Accountabilities

In This Role You Will

  • Deliver exceptional clinical care to your patients during consultations and procedures.
  • Provide exceptional care to your clients, giving clear updates on patients.
  • Deliver professional excellence, observing the highest standards of regulatory, practice and operational compliance.
  • Prepare tailored, accurate treatment and care plans for each patient with clear cost estimates.
  • Engage, mentor and develop your team, enhancing their skills and utilising these in the most effective way.
  • Complete clinical handover and arrange transfer of any patient needing out of hours or enhanced care.
  • Pro-actively support and share clinical best practice within and across practices and the wider Medivet community.

Your Skills And Experience

  • RCVS registered Veterinary Surgeon.
  • Experienced in delivering exceptional care to both patients and clients.
  • Experienced in working effectively as part of a team.
  • Able to demonstrate clinical leadership skills.
  • Experience of implementing a progressive clinical culture.
  • Experience of supporting nurse consults and schedule 3 procedures, with an understanding of how this contributes to clinic performance and efficiency.
  • Experienced in using coaching and influencing skills to get the best out of every colleague.
