Are you an experienced vet looking to join a team where you can learn new skills and really achieve your career goals? What if you could be part of this team with the support of a multi-certificate holder behind you?
Our small animal practice in Totton, Hampshire, is growing fast and looking for an additional veterinary surgeon to join our friendly team.
Our practice owner, Dr Judith Archbold, is an Advanced Practitioner in small animal surgery, and opened Totton Vets4Pets in June 2018. Judith's multiple certificates including a certificate in emergency medicine and surgery as well as in soft tissue/orthopaedic surgery certAVP(gSAS), puts us in a unique position to offer a varied case load and learning experience. In addition, Judith also has a Zoology degree, and we therefore include exotics in the cases we see.
As well as Judith, you'll also be joining an exceptional team including another full time veterinary surgeon, 3 RVNs, 1 student nurse and 3 receptionists with our nurse team having a combined experience of 50 years!
Our days are well structured with consultations between 9am-12pm with ops 11-2pm, lunch and then consultations again from 3pm with the last consultation at 6pm with the intention for everyone to leave on time when the practice closes at 7pm.
Ideally this is a full-time role to support the growth of the practice, with flexibility for shorter hours considered if required. In addition there is a shared Saturday rota when we open between 9am and midday, for consultations and emergencies only. There are no OOH.
In joining our team and supporting a great community and client base, we are looking for a colleague with solid GP experience, confident in occasional sole charge, a team player with great communication skills and someone capable of providing the highest level of veterinary care.
An interest in ultrasonography or medicine would be desired but is not essential and we do have orthopaedic equipment on site and are open to investing in further equipment, depending on our vets' skills sets and interests.
By joining us you will be part of a supportive and welcoming team in addition to:
