Job description

Ready for a role where you can make your mark and be part of an exciting new chapter? Medivet Tyldesley is looking for a confident, enthusiastic Veterinary Surgeon to join our friendly team at a particularly exciting time for the practice. Tyldesley is an up and coming town with a growing independent scene, including vibrant coffee shops, bars and places to eat, while still offering easy access to Manchester and Salford Quays. With the V bus route providing a direct connection from Manchester and Salford, it’s also a great option if you want to work outside the city without giving up an easy commute. Our front of house area has recently been renovated, creating a fresh and welcoming environment for our clients and their pets, and that’s just the beginning. A further back of house renovation is due to start soon, continuing the transformation of the practice and enhancing our clinical working environment. At the heart of the practice is our modern surgical suite, providing a great environment for a vet who enjoys getting hands on with their cases and wants a genuine mix of consulting and surgery. This is a fantastic time to join us. Rather than stepping into a practice where everything is already set in stone, you'll have the opportunity to be part of its next chapter bringing your own ideas, helping us develop our clinical services and having a real influence on how the practice grows. For us, the right team culture is just as important as the clinical side of the role. We want Tyldesley to be somewhere people enjoy coming to work: a supportive, collaborative practice where colleagues help one another, ideas are welcomed and everyone has the opportunity to develop. You'll also have the wider support of the Medivet network, giving you access to clinical collaboration, internal referrals and colleagues across our surrounding practices when you need them. Tyldesley offers a great balance for anyone who wants the community feel of a local practice while keeping Manchester within easy reach. If you're looking for more than simply your next vet job, come and help us build something at Medivet Tyldesley. With continued investment in the practice, a modern surgical environment and excellent connections to Manchester and Salford, there's a lot to be excited about. Bring your experience. Bring your ideas. And help us shape the future of Medivet Tyldesley.

As a Vet you will be accountable for patient care within the clinic, whilst ensuring we deliver exceptional care, always there for our clients, patients and colleagues whilst maintaining the highest levels of regulatory and operational standards and compliance.

Your career means more than a rota and a job title, that’s why we offer:

Health and wellbeing

• Private Medical Insurance and Health Cash Plan from day one
• 24/7 counselling and wellbeing support
• Life Assurance 3 x salary

Annual leave

• 5 weeks’ annual leave plus Bank Holidays, rising with length of service
• Extra ‘Day for You’, a paid day off just for you

Learning and development

• £1,500 CPD allowance plus 3 days’ paid leave per year
• Access to Clinical Communities, internal CPD and our 24-hour hospitals
• Funded certificates and internal career pathways

Additional Support

• RCVS, VDS and BVA fees paid
• Relocation support and Visa sponsorship available
• Sabbatical options based on length of service

Lifestyle

• Cycle to Work
• Season Ticket loans
• Discounts on Medivet products and services
