Job summary

Medivet Standish invites a Veterinary Surgeon with a strong interest in surgery to join our established practice. You will operate within a modern facility with access to orthopaedic procedures, TPLOs, and laparoscopic options, under a Surgical Certificate Holder.

A proactive vet keen to develop surgical interests may receive certificate support. You’ll be part of a friendly team of veterinary professionals, working to high standards of patient care and client service, in Standish’s connected

Job description

We have an exciting opportunity for a Veterinary Surgeon with a strong interest in surgery to join our established team at Medivet Standish. Standish is a modern, purpose built practice with excellent facilities and a varied surgical caseload. You’ll work alongside a Surgical Certificate Holder, providing a great environment to develop your surgical skills and experience. The practice undertakes a range of more advanced procedures, including orthopaedic surgery, TPLOs, fracture repairs and advanced soft tissue surgery, and also benefits from laparoscopic surgery facilities. We would particularly welcome a vet who is keen to develop their surgical interests, with the potential for further study and certificate support. You’ll be joining a friendly, well established team of veterinary professionals, including experienced Veterinary Nurses, Client Care Assistants and Receptionists, all working together to provide a high standard of patient and client care. Standish is a lovely and well connected town with a great community feel. Situated close to the M6 corridor, it offers convenient links to Manchester and Preston, as well as easy access north towards Lancashire and Cumbria. This is a fantastic opportunity for a Veterinary Surgeon looking to combine a varied first opinion role with the chance to develop more advanced surgical skills in a modern, supportive practice. As a Vet you will be accountable for patient care within the clinic, whilst ensuring we deliver exceptional care, always there for our clients, patients and colleagues whilst maintaining the highest levels of regulatory and operational standards and compliance.
