Introduction

Our client is a corporately owned small animal practice in Dartford, Kent, and they are currently seeking a Veterinary Surgeon to join their progressive and dedicated team. Located along the River Thames, Dartford offers an ideal mix of countryside charm and urban convenience, with fantastic transport links and a welcoming local community. This opportunity provides a well-rounded role in a vibrant clinic, ideal for a Vet seeking clinical variety and career development.

Working Hours / Rota

Full-time position – exact hours and shift patterns to be confirmed during interview. The role does not involve out-of-hours work and provides a good work-life balance with flexibility.

Role Description

As a Veterinary Surgeon, you’ll deliver high-quality clinical care during consultations and procedures, create personalised treatment plans with clear cost estimates, and collaborate closely with the practice team. You’ll contribute to ongoing clinical development by sharing best practices and supporting nurse consults and Schedule 3 procedures. This role suits a Vet who values both clinical excellence and team-based collaboration, with opportunities for mentoring and progression.

Team Size

You will be working alongside a close-knit team including fellow Vets, Registered Veterinary Nurses, support staff, and an experienced management team. Specific team details can be shared at interview.

Ideal Candidate

You must be a qualified, RCVS-registered Veterinary Surgeon with a passion for delivering top-level care. Experience mentoring or supporting less experienced colleagues is desirable, and the ability to contribute to a culture of clinical improvement is highly valued. Vets pursuing a certificate or with specific interests are fully supported.
