Job summary

CVS Vets 24/7 Chester is seeking an out-of-hours Veterinary Surgeon to join our Chester team. You will work an average of 25 hours per week across twilight and night shifts, with a rota designed to cover the out-of-hours period.

The role offers opportunities for professional development within a well-established emergency hospital with strong referral links and CPD support. You will lead on surgical and medical cases, perform diagnostic investigations, and contribute to high-quality care for

We're looking for aVeterinary Surgeonto join ourChester team to work on average 25 hours a week, covering a mixture of twilight (2pm-12am) and night (7pm-8am) shifts.

The rota pattern would be:

• 3 twilights on, 7 shifts off
• 4 twilights on, 7 shifts off
• 4 nights on, 7 shifts off
• 3 nights on, 7 shifts off

CVS Vets 24/7 Chester is a well-established emergency and critical care hospital ideally located with excellent transport links to Chester, Liverpool, Manchester, North Wales, and the Lake District. A unique benefit of the practice is its close integration with referral services, allowing teams to work alongside specialist clinicians in areas including neurology, internal medicine, soft tissue surgery, cardiology, and anaesthesia, creating exceptional opportunities for knowledge sharing and clinical development.
