We are seeking a surgical bias Veterinary Surgeon to join our team at Medivet Llanishen Cat Clinic, a dedicated Cat-only practice based in Cardiff. The team includes two Veterinary Surgeons, an HRVN, RVN, and two receptionists. The ideal candidate should be highly competent surgically and confident with routine soft tissue surgeries such as neutering, Caesarean sections, exploratory laparotomy, enterectomy/enterotomy, cystotomy, thyroidectomy, pinnectomy, enucleation, entropion correction, anal sacculectomy, and lumpectomy.
The clinic is equipped with advanced technology including Digital X-ray, Adaptix 3D X-ray for orthopaedics and dental imaging, Ultrasound with pulsed wave and colour Doppler, Multi-parameter anaesthetic monitoring, Cryotherapy, Radioactive iodine unit, Doppler and Oscillometric blood pressure monitors, IDEXX lab suite (Procyte Dx, Catalyst One, Sedivue), Microscope, Oxygen unit, Incubator, and Burton’s VETair2 Dental Unit.
This part-time role involves 18 hours per week over two days (8:30 am - 6:30 pm), with a salary range of £29,250 to £31,500 per year.
