Are you looking for a permanent opportunity within an established practice and support from a Lead Vet and Nursing team?

Medivet Peterborough Bretton offers a wide range of complex diagnostic equipment and treatment options, including endoscopy and ultrasound. The team is made up of a knowledge lead Vet Pedro who holds a BSAVA Post Grad Certificate in Small Animal Surgery, our HVN Kelly, 2 RVNs, SVN, VCA and 2 CCAs.

This multi-vet practice works to a high level, including: laparoscopic bitch spays, full dental suite including dental x-ray, high quality ultrasound including doppler and digital x-ray. In addition, the branch has a large array of surgical equipment including TPLO kit, operating microscope and full ophthalmology diagnostic tools. Our vets have a keen interest in orthopaedic surgery and have a fully equipped orthopaedic theatre.

The role is 4 days per week and 1 in 6 weekends and there is free parking onsite.

Role Accountabilities

In this role you will:

  • Consistently deliver exceptional care to your clients
  • Support with surgeries and procedures, completing all pre and post procedure activity.
  • Carry out nurse led appointments and schedule 3 activities
  • Deliver patient monitoring and care
  • Manage admissions and discharges as directed by the Veterinary team
  • Complete patient transfers to out of hours or enhanced care
  • Dispense and check medication
  • Deliver professional excellence, complying with all regulatory, practice and operational standards
  • Hold briefings to engage and co-ordinate your team to support the most effective running of the practice

Your Skills and Experience

  • RCVS registered Veterinary Nurse
  • Experience of delivering exceptional patient and client care
  • Experienced in working effectively as part of a team
  • Experience of supporting Nurse consults, with an understanding of how this contributes to practice performance and efficiency
  • Experienced in using coaching and influencing skills to get the best out of every colleague
