Quantock Vets in Bridgwater is seeking a Veterinary Surgeon to join a friendly, knowledgeable team. The role supports both full-time and part-time hours with a 4-day week for full-time; you’ll handle consultations, theatre work, in-patient shifts, and occasional branch duties.

The practice is RCVS-accredited, focused on 100% small animal care (plus some exotics), with a dedicated night team and modern imaging/equipment. A strong emphasis on teamwork and patient care remains core.

• Consult days, theatre days, in-patient shifts and branch visiting day.
• No OOH because the practice runs its own out-of-hours service and no bank holidays.
• Support for special interests within veterinary medicine.

We have a great opportunity for a Veterinary Surgeon to join our friendly and knowledgeable team!

Quantock Vets have been providing outstanding care to the pets of Bridgwater and Nether Stowey since 1985.

The Team:

We are looking to grow our wonderful team. We are a well-established team who are looking for a friendly and approachable team player to join us.

Ideally, we are looking for a vet with who is comfortable with Sole charge and day one competencies.

Our team really are everything to us and so it is very important that as we get busier, we neither want to compromise our patient care or burn out our current staff. Therefore, we are looking to welcome an additional Vet to the team to assist with this, hopefully that’s where you come in!

The Role:

• Full-time or part-time hours (full-time offers a 4-day week with the same day off in the week if preferred)
• Consult days, theatre days, in patient shifts and a day out at our branch surgery.
• No OOH as we run our own dedicated out of hours service for the area and no Bank holidays
• If you have a special interest, we would like to support you with this.

Our RCVS accredited hospital in Quantock and Nether Stowey branch have purpose-built facilities and offer a huge range of services.

We are a busy first opinion practice doing 100% small animal as well as a good amount of exotics.

We pride ourselves on a high level of patient care and have dedicated inpatient shifts for both vets and nurses, so our patients receive optimal care while with us.

We have digital x-ray, dental x-ray, portable and diagnostic ultrasound, endoscopy and laparoscope equipment to name a few! We also have a dedicated night team.

The Area:

Set at the foot of the Quantock hills the area is only a short distance from the beautiful countryside and west coast beaches, while still having the convenience of the M5 to get you to the nearest big cities such as Exeter and Bristol.
