This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced referral neurology clinician to join our brilliant team at Moorview Referrals.
Applicants should have experience of managing and developing their caseload, and be keen to work as part of an experienced, progressive team. You will benefit from working in a multi-disciplinary hospital amongst a highly skilled team of clinicians, RVNs and Animal Care Assistants as we continue to provide an excellent standard of patient care to animals and owners across the North East.
Our neurology department benefits from a permanent on-site 1.5T MRI scanner, 160 slice Canon CT, EMG, fluoroscopy, laparoscopy/thoracoscopy, arthroscopy, flexible and rigid endoscopy, digital radiography and in house laboratory.
We have support from 24-hour ECC provision, and an experienced team of surgeons (including in spinal and neurosurgery) and medics.
We are further supported by a radiographer, ultrasonographer, and a fantastic team of dedicated neurology/surgery nurses, including several certificate and diploma holders. We are a friendly, sociable team with a good work ethic and great teamwork. In addition to neurology, we offer referrals in orthopaedics and soft tissue surgery, internal medicine, oncology, and cardiology.
Our ECC department provides a 24-hour service, taking ECC referrals and providing care to inpatients in need of critical care, and emergency OOH cover for other local practices, ensuring that our patients receive the highest level of care regardless of the time of day or night.
Our hospital is located just outside Newcastle-upon-Tyne, within easy reach of the city as well as being close to the stunning Northumberland coastline and the Northumberland National Park, making it an ideal location for those of us with a love of the outdoors.
Hours aimed to achieve a work-life balance. A full-time position involves an average 40-hour week over 4 days with a regular day off each week. We are also open to discussion towards Part-time hours.
We encourage applications from candidates who are RCVS, American, or European Boarded Diplomates (or those eligible for certification), as well as individuals with Cert AVP status. You will have prior experience working in a multi-disciplinary referral hospital.
