Job description

Part-time Veterinary Receptionist required at our Thrapston practice!

We are looking for an enthusiastic part-time Receptionist to deliver outstanding customer service. The ideal candidate should possess excellent communication skills, experience of working in a busy, customer-based environment, with good telephone skills and knowledge of IT programmes and emails. Previous veterinary environmental skills desirable but not essential as training will be given. We are looking for someone who can be flexible so that they can cover holiday/sick at our Oundle and Corby practices. This is a part-time role working 20.5 hours per week.

Main responsibilities of the role include but are not limited to:
  1. Liaising with the clients and the clinical staff to provide a high level of customer care.
  2. Meeting and greeting clients and pets.
  3. Booking appointments and diary management.
  4. Managing telephone and email enquiries.
  5. Taking payment for services and products.
  6. Managing cash and end-of-day banking.
  7. Maintaining a clean and safe space for our clients and their pets.
