Job summary

National Veterinary Associates (NVA) is seeking an experienced Veterinary Receptionist for Carver Street Animal Hospital in Durham, NC. You will welcome clients, determine their needs and manage efficient check-in and check-out, while supporting the hospital team.

This full-time position offers a base hourly rate of $17.00–$20.00 DOE, periodic bonus eligibility, and benefits including medical, vision, dental, 401(k), Health Savings Account, paid time off and employee pet discounts.

Qualifications

• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Strong organizational skills with ability to multi-task; strong attention to detail.
• Strong computer skills (Microsoft Office, E-mail, and/or cloud based PIMS experience preferred).
• Experience with multi-line phone systems.
• Strong interpersonal skills, including working in a team environment.
• Handling difficult situations including emergencies.
• Payment handling and basic finance skills.

Responsibilities

• Greet clients and determine needs; manage check-in and check-out.
• Provide exceptional client service and support hospital staff.
• Assist Hospital Manager and doctors as needed.
• Support office duties related to patient care and treatment.
