Job description

If you enjoy providing great service and working in a team, we have just the opportunity for you at our locally owned Walton-on-Thames practice!

What your typical day will look like:

1. Your focus is to provide an exceptional service to our clients and the best care possible to their pets, acting as a link between clients and the clinical team.
2. Your ability to build strong relationships with clients, their pets, and the practice team will be critical to your success.
3. Ensure client satisfaction during visits, leaving clients confident they received exceptional service and eager for their next visit.
4. Greet clients, offer support, guidance, and expertise, and manage payments and bookings confidently.
5. Coordinate the daily routines of the practice using our online booking system, so computer literacy is essential.

This role is full-time, 40 hours a week, including 1 in 4 Saturdays with a day off in lieu.

The attributes required:

• Be the friendly and welcoming face for clients and their pets upon arrival.
• Stay fully informed about practice services and additional offerings to provide guidance.
• Remain calm, attentive, and focused on clients’ needs.
• Bring enthusiasm and drive, with a passion for service and love of pets.
• Handle various situations, from comforting clients with bad news to celebrating new puppy visits.
• Create a welcoming atmosphere with your personality, contributing to a friendly practice environment.
• Receptionist experience is preferred but not essential.
