Midforest Veterinary Practice is excited to offer a new opportunity for a motivated part-time Veterinary Receptionist. Professionalism and a positive attitude are essential for this role, along with enthusiasm, friendliness, and commitment. You will join a fantastic team of vets, nurses, and support staff dedicated to providing excellent patient and client care. We truly consider ourselves a family!

Receptionists at Midforest are key to ensuring smooth daily operations of the practice. Your responsibilities will include:

  1. Answering phone calls and emails
  2. Booking and rescheduling appointments as needed
  3. Creating a positive first and last impression of the practice
  4. Promoting our Pet Health Club
  5. Acting as a liaison between clients and the clinical team
  6. Managing orders and inventory
  7. Maintaining a clean and organized reception area
  8. Checking clients in and out, including cash handling
  9. Managing debt and insurance claims

Midforest Veterinary Practice has two sites located in Lyndhurst and Totton, serving the community for over 30 years. Our Totton clinic is near Southampton with shops and free parking, while Lyndhurst offers a peaceful setting in the New Forest with scenic walks and attractions. Both clinics are well-equipped with dental X-ray, digital radiography, ultrasound, and in-house Idexx laboratory facilities.

About you

The ideal candidate will be friendly and enthusiastic. Veterinary practice experience is preferred but not essential; a great attitude and willingness to learn are key. You should be confident in interacting with clients, providing excellent customer service, and capable of working independently when necessary.

Shift pattern

This part-time role offers 22-25 hours per week, with shifts between 8 am and 7 pm, including one in four Saturday mornings (8:30 am - 12:30 pm). No out-of-hours shifts are involved. While Totton will be your primary location, you will also work at Lyndhurst as needed, so commuting between sites is required.
