A prominent veterinary practice in Cheltenham is looking for an enthusiastic Veterinary Receptionist to join their team. Qualifications

  • Previous reception, healthcare or petcare experience is preferable, but not essential as full training will be given.
  • Resilient with the ability to cope with potentially distressing and emotional situations.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and other database management and operating systems.

We are seeking an enthusiastic individual with a passion for animals to join us as a Veterinary Receptionist at Stow on the wold.

Location: Stow on the wold

Contract: Permanent

Hours: around 12 to around 26

Shift Pattern: 1 to 4 weekday shifts, 1 in 3 or 1 in 6 Saturdays

About the role:

Day-to-day duties of the role will include:

  • Answering phones and booking appointments
  • Responding to queries via phone, in person and email

  • And most importantly; providing a warm and welcoming experience to our clients arriving at the practice


What we're looking for in our Veterinary Receptionist:
  • Previous reception, healthcare or petcare experience is preferable, but not essential as full training will be given.
  • Resilient with the ability to cope with potentially distressing and emotional situations
  • An excellent communicator with strong empathy
  • Excellent customer service skills and experience in dealing with members of the public
  • A positive attitude and excellent teamwork skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and other database management and operating systems
