Overview

Step into a career that cares. A position has become available for a full-time Veterinary Receptionist to join our friendly and supportive team at Dragon Vets, based on Cheltenham Racecourse. Dragon Vets is a popular small animal practice with four branch surgeries. This role would be based mainly at the racecourse site, although there may be a requirement to attend our other branches from time to time.

Our ideal candidate

The ideal candidate would be hard working, reliable, and willing to learn and adapt to an ever-changing environment. You will have excellent communication skills both communicating face to face with clients and over the telephone. In this role you will need to multitask, be able to prioritise your work accordingly, have good computer knowledge, having proficient use of Microsoft office programs and the internet.

We are looking for someone who is confident welcoming clients, booking appointments, taking payments, dealing with queries, and providing a high level of client care. Experience in a reception role is desirable. We are a large team so being a team player is very important, as is a genuine interest in animals and pet-care.

About The Rota

The role will be full time of 37.25 hours weekly, this will involve a shift pattern between 8:00am - 7:00pm. You will also be required to work one Saturday morning 8:00am - 1:00pm, every 4 weeks.

Facilities and capabilities

Dragon Vets is based at Cheltenham Racecourse. We are an air-conditioned practice with an in-house lab (including on-site blood gas analysis) and high-quality diagnostic and surgical facilities. We are fortunate to have access to on-site CT, DR and high-end ultrasonography, ECG, plus a selection of video-endoscopes. Our theatres are equipped with multiparameter monitoring (including capnography), ligasure and laparoscopic facilities.
