A veterinary practice in Blackwood, Wales is seeking a reliable receptionist to be the first point of contact for clients. The ideal candidate will manage appointments, handle inquiries, and process payments while maintaining a professional demeanor. This is a full-time role requiring 40 hours of work over 4 days. South Wales Vets are looking for an enthusiastic, reliable person to join our close-knit team. You will be our client's first point of contact, so a professional, courteous manner is essential.
At Blackwood, our team consists of 2 Vets—a highly skilled internal medicine and imaging specialist, and an experienced Vet with over 10 years at the practice. They are supported by our Head Nurse, 4 RVNs, and 2 Receptionists. Within the group, we have 2 Clinical Directors (specializing in surgery and orthopaedics), a Senior Vet with a surgery certificate, 8 other Vets (including one with an internal medicine certificate), 20 RVNs, and our proactive Practice Manager. Our Clinical Directors are always available for clinical support, and CPD is actively encouraged.
Established over 10 years ago on Malpas Road in Newport, South Wales Vets has expanded to four locations in Blackwood, Risca, and Abertillery. Blackwood offers easy access to Cardiff, Bristol, Newport, and the Brecon Beacons National Park. The clinic has recently been refurbished with spacious waiting areas, 3 consulting rooms, separate cat and dog areas, and excellent surgical and inpatient facilities.
We are looking for someone to join our team on a full-time basis, 40 hours, working 4 days per week 8:30 am to 7 pm, with 1:4 Saturdays and no OOH.
