We’re looking for a Receptionist to join our Biggleswade practice starting in April/May 2025. This position is a 9-month fixed-term contract covering maternity leave, working 36.5 hours per week and will include working 1 in 4 weekends.

What You’ll Be Doing
As a Receptionist, you’ll play a key role in delivering a seamless and friendly experience for our clients and their pets. Your day-to-day responsibilities will include:

  1. Offering exceptional service to clients and ensuring the best care for their pets, acting as the link between clients and our clinical team.
  2. Building strong, trusting relationships with clients, their pets, and the practice team.
  3. Creating a positive and memorable client experience, ensuring every visit exceeds expectations.
  4. Welcoming clients, managing payments, and confidently scheduling future bookings.
  5. Coordinating the practice’s day-to-day routines through our online booking system (computer literacy is essential).

What We’re Looking For
We’re seeking someone who embodies the following qualities:

  1. A friendly and welcoming demeanour to make clients and pets feel at ease from the moment they arrive.
  2. Confidence in sharing guidance about our practice’s services.
  3. Calm, attentive, and client-focused, even in challenging situations.
  4. Enthusiasm, drive, and a passion for exceptional service—and a love of animals!
  5. Adaptability to handle a variety of situations, whether comforting a client or celebrating a new puppy’s first vet visit.
  6. A positive, infectious personality that contributes to a warm and welcoming team environment.

Benefits
In return, we offer such benefits as 20% discount at the Vet Group, Pets at Home, and the Groom Room, access to discounts and cashbacks, pension and holiday allowance. The starting salary for this position is £12.21 per hour.

We are an equal opportunities employer.
