About your new role
You'll be the friendly face and reassuring voice that welcomes clients to the practice, supports them during their visit, and helps them access the care their pets need. Working at the heart of a busy hospital team, your role will be varied and rewarding-no two days are the same.
Key responsibilities include:
Greeting and checking in clients with professionalism and warmthHandling a high volume of phone and email enquiriesBooking appointments and procedures accuratelyTaking payments and processing insurance claimsSupporting clinical teams with day-to-day coordinationKeeping the reception area clean, organised, and welcoming
What we're looking for
We're seeking someone with previous veterinary reception experience, who thrives in a fast-paced environment and genuinely enjoys helping people. You'll be calm under pressure, confident with IT systems, and a real team player. A sense of humour and a positive, can-do attitude will help you thrive in our close-knit, supportive team.
Your skills and qualities:
Experience working in a veterinary practice (beneficial but not essential)Excellent communication and customer service skillsStrong attention to detail and computer literacyInitiative and problem-solving mindsetAbility to work both independently and collaboratively
Working hours
We are excited to offer a shift pattern with a focus on your work/life balance. We welcome applications from both part-time and full-time candidates, the only requirement is the ability to work every Friday and regular weekends (though not necessarily every weekend). Your shifts will be between the hours of 7:45 am and 7:15 pm.
