Job summary

Northwest Veterinary Specialists, part of Linnaeus, is seeking a motivated Patient Care Assistant to join our clinical team in the Northwest region. You will support theatre prep, patient handling, and everyday hospital tasks to ensure high standards of care for our animal patients.

The role requires working 40 hours per week, with a 8-hour shift pattern and occasional weekend coverage. Experience in veterinary or care sectors is valued.

Qualifications

• Experience in veterinary, medical or care sectors.
• Ability to handle and restrain patients calmly and safely.
• Willingness to work 40 hours per week with 8 hour shifts.

Responsibilities

• Prepare theatre for surgeries and assist Vets and Nurses.
• Clean, disinfect and maintain instruments and patient areas.
• Assist with patient care, exercise and feeding routines.
• Run in-house labs, package biological samples, and support reception when needed.
• Collaborate effectively with colleagues and communicate clearly with clients.
