Job summary

The Grove Veterinary Orthopaedic Hospital in Fakenham, Norfolk, is inviting applications for a Veterinary Orthopaedic Intern. This fixed-term internship (typically 12 months) offers hands-on experience under specialist-led mentorship, focusing on diagnostics, surgery, inpatient care, and client communication.

Ideal graduates will be registered or eligible with the RCVS, with a strong interest in orthopaedics and a collaborative approach to patient care. Start flexible / TBC.

Qualifications

• Registered veterinary surgeon with the RCVS or eligible to register.
• Interest in orthopaedics and surgical practice.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
• Proactive, reliable and compassionate care.

Responsibilities

• Assisting with orthopaedic surgeries and procedures.
• Managing pre- and post-operative patients.
• Supporting inpatient care and case work-ups.
• Participating in ward rounds, clinical discussions and CPD.
• Collaborating with nursing and rehabilitation teams.
• Maintaining high clinical and welfare standards at all times.
