Job summary

The Grove Veterinary Orthopaedic Hospital is offering a veterinary orthopaedic internship (fixed-term, typically 12 months) for a motivated graduate. The internship provides hands-on experience under senior orthopaedic surgeons, with close supervision and mentorship.

You will develop skills in diagnostics, surgical procedures, inpatient care, and client communication, with exposure to complex cases and support from a skilled team in a leading referral centre.

Qualifications

• Eligible to register with the RCVS and be a veterinary graduate.
• Interest in orthopaedics and surgical practice.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
• Proactive, reliable and compassionate patient care.
• Willingness to learn in a busy referral hospital.

Responsibilities

• Assist with orthopaedic surgeries and procedures.
• Manage pre- and post-operative patients.
• Support inpatient care and case work‑ups.
• Participate in ward rounds and CPD discussions.
• Collaborate with nursing and rehabilitation teams.
• Maintain high clinical and welfare standards.
