Job summary

Alma Vets in Windsor is seeking a Veterinary Nursing Assistant to join our busy hospital on a full-time permanent basis.

You will support the clinical team with patient care, handling and restraint, and maintain clean, well-equipped wards, labs, and reception support. We offer development opportunities and a supportive environment with a values-led culture, including generous leave, pension, and wellbeing schemes.

Qualifications

• Reliable, motivated team player with an interest in animal welfare.
• Good communication and ability to work with colleagues and clients.
• Strong organisational skills to manage busy workloads.
• Proactive attitude to learning and openness to feedback.
• Experience with animals in clinical or non-clinical settings is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Basic animal husbandry
• Patient restraint for examination and basic procedures
• Maintaining a clean, hygienic environment throughout the hospital
• Running laboratory tests
• Preparation and maintenance of equipment and supplies
• Supporting the clinical team
• Supporting the reception/ client care team
• Working closely with the nursing team to provide a high standard of nursing care to our patients
• Maintaining of patient and client records.
