Job summary

Taverham Veterinary Practice in Norwich is seeking an enthusiastic Animal Nursing Assistant to join our patient‑focused team on a full‑time permanent basis. You’ll work under Veterinary Surgeons and Registered Veterinary Nurses to support inpatient care and client service.

You’ll feed and exercise animals, assist with handling and restraint, help maintain clinical areas and our cat hotel, and support reception duties. A proactive, team‑oriented attitude and good communication are essential.

Qualifications

• Experience with animals is advantageous but not required.
• Ability to work as part of a team in a busy veterinary environment.

Responsibilities

• Caring for hospitalised patients under the direction of Veterinary Surgeons and Registered Veterinary Nurses.
• Feeding, exercising and providing basic care for animals.
• Assisting with patient handling and restraint.
• Cleaning and maintaining clinical areas.
• Assisting within our cat hotel.
• Supporting reception and administrative duties.
