Job Description:

We have an exciting opportunity for a Head Registered Vet Nurse to lead and manage the nurse team at a small animal practice in the city of BRISTOL location.

Role:

• Excellent full-time permanent opportunity working 40 hours a week including 1 in 5 weekends on a rota and no OOH.
• Practice is established, successful, and well equipped with great facilities.
• Role is suitable for either an experienced/senior RVN looking to step up or an existing Head Nurse looking for change.
• Responsibilities of the role would include ensuring the smooth running of the practice, as well as having direct line management for the nursing team.
• Practice encourages the nurse team to utilise their skills to the full; taking and processing blood samples, catheters, stitch ups, dental scale and polishes, x-rays and monitoring anaesthetics, nurse clinics, and in-patient care etc.
• CPD is encouraged and supported and RCVS, VDS Memberships paid.
• Sought after location with M4, M5 and M32 nearby and plenty of parking for easy commuting, good public transport links, train station and airport 15 minutes away.

Requirements:

• Qualified Vet Nurse
• Registered with RCVS
• Good communication skills
• Experienced/senior RVN looking to step up or existing Head Nurse looking for change.
• Good general small animal nursing experience
• Able to lead, mentor, and manage a nursing team.

Salary package:

• Salary offered up to £35,000.00 per annum to reflect your experience.
