Salary: £23,620 to £27,007 (pro rata for 0.88 FTE) + 15% Shift Allowance, equating to approximately £27,163 to £31,058 per annum, working an average of 32 hours a week. This corresponds to an hourly rate of £14.12 - £16.15 (£16.24 - £18.57 with 15% uplift).
We have an exciting opportunity for a Registered Veterinary Nurse to join our nursing team at the Queens Veterinary School Hospital.
The referral hospital operates in a fast-paced environment requiring adaptability and the ability to work well under pressure. The role involves providing nursing care in the Small Animal Wing, which includes four dog wards, two cat wards, critical care, and isolation wards, housing 15-25 patients during overnight shifts.
The role involves 24/7 coverage on a 7-week rotating shift pattern, including core, early, late, and night shifts, with scheduled days off (including a 10-day off period after night shifts). Weekend work (2 in 7) is required. Rota planning is done in advance to support work-life balance.
Shifts are supported by student nurses and Veterinary Care Assistants.
