Job Description

Introduction

Our Client’s practice in Speke, Liverpool, is seeking a Registered Veterinary Nurse to join their friendly and professional team. Located near John Lennon Airport with excellent transport links, this modern and supportive practice provides the perfect opportunity for an RVN looking to further their clinical impact and grow within a cohesive and values-led team.

Working Hours / Rota

This is a full-time role working four days per week, with 1 full weekend in 4. There are no additional out-of-hours or on-call commitments listed, ensuring good work-life balance.

Role Description

As a Registered Veterinary Nurse, you will lead and deliver exceptional clinical care, supporting surgical procedures, managing admissions and discharges, and playing an active role in nurse-led consults and clinics. You’ll also participate in patient monitoring, dispense and check medications, and provide clinical leadership to junior team members. You’ll be empowered to contribute to and implement best practices in a forward-thinking and compassionate environment.

Team Size

You’ll work alongside a supportive and collaborative team that includes the Practice Manager, a Head Nurse, and two Client Care Assistants. The structure allows for a strong team dynamic, with opportunities for development and peer support.

Practice Details

The Speke clinic is well-equipped with a spacious theatre, three consulting rooms, dental equipment, digital x-ray, and ultrasound. The setup supports efficient clinical workflow and high standards of patient care.

Ideal Candidate

The ideal candidate will be an RCVS Registered Veterinary Nurse with experience in delivering outstanding patient and client care. Confidence in leading a clinical team, promoting nurse-led services, and a progressive approach to team development and care delivery are essential. Strong communication and mentoring skills are also key to thriving in this position.
