Senior Registered Veterinary Nurse (RVN) – Independent Practice – Hertfordshire

• Leadership Role – Take on a senior position with responsibilities including mentoring student nurses and supporting clinical standards

I am working with a well-established, independent veterinary practice in Hertfordshire, proudly serving the community for over 70 years. With a focus on high-quality care for small animals and exotic pets, the practice has built a loyal client base and a reputation for compassionate, professional service.

About the Role:
I am seeking a dedicated and experienced Senior RVN to join this passionate and close-knit team. This is a permanent, full-time position with a mixture of early and late shifts (8am or 10:30am start) and a 1 in 4 Saturday rota. The position includes on-call from Saturday to Monday morning (no midweek on-call).

As the Senior RVN, you'll play a key role in supporting junior nurses, maintaining high clinical standards, and ensuring the smooth running of daily operations. The practice encourages nurse-led initiatives and supports career progression.

About the Practice:

This purpose-built, modern facility offers:
• Four consulting rooms (including a cat-only consult and waiting area)
• Two surgical theatres + separate dental theatre
• Dedicated dog, cat, and isolation wards
• In-house lab and comprehensive imaging suite

You’ll be working alongside a skilled and friendly team of:
• 3 Full-Time Vets
• 1 RVN
• 3 Student Nurses
• 2 Veterinary Care Assistants

What We’re Looking For:
• RVN with 5+ years of experience in general practice
• Clinical Coach qualification – essential
• Confident performing Schedule 3 procedures
• Full UK driving licence – essential (not near public transport)
• Strong leadership, organisational, and mentoring skills
