Job description

We’re excited to offer a fantastic opportunity for a board-certified or residency-trained Oncologist to join our dedicated team at Southern Counties Veterinary Specialists on a part-time, 12 month fixed term contract.

Come and join a vibrant and enthusiastic team at Southern Counties in the New Forest. We are a large, well-established, multi-disciplinary, small animal referral hospital, offering secondary and tertiary referrals. Our caseload is challenging and varied, and we have Specialist-led services in Surgery, Internal Medicine & Oncology, Neurology, Cardiology, Ophthalmology, Dermatology and Radiology.

You will work alongside a Medicine and Oncology team boasting 3 ECVIM Diplomates and a dedicated Oncology Nurse, as well as Internal Medicine residents, clinicians and a large multi-disciplinary nursing team. We have all the usual facilities and equipment expected within a large referral hospital, including a 5 theatre surgical facility that opened in 2022.

What We’re Looking For

You must be either an ECVIM or ACCIM Diplomate, or have completed an approved residency program and be an existing MRCVS or eligible to work in private practice in the UK.

The ideal candidate will work 2 days per week, though less could be negotiated (no on-call commitments).
